Paper Submis
2023 Far East NDT Forum (2023 FENDT Forum for short) will be held at Evergrande Hotel Dongli Lake in Tianjin, China on June 13-15. Currently the forum calls for papers from NDT experts, scholars, researchers and technicians at home and abroad. Matters concerned are listed below:
1. Cooperation partners
●cooperating with editorial board of Journal of Mechanical Engineering , to which recommending excellent English papers(indexed by SCI) and Chinese papers(indexed by EI)；
●cooperating with IEEE , to which recommending excellent English papers processed by peer review, waiting for approval of IEEE headquarters , and subsequently indexed by EI；
●cooperating with Swiss journal Sensors (indexed by SCI)，to which recommending excellent English papers；
●cooperating with American journal Structural Durability and Health Monitoring (indexed by EI) ，to which recommending excellent English papers；
●beginning a trial cooperation with Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation，to which recommending excellent English papers；
●cooperating with Non-destructive Testing (listed in Chinese core journals)，to which recommending excellent Chinese papers to be published in special column set up by its regular issue;
●cooperating with Infrared Technology(listed in Chinese core journals) ，to which recommending excellent Chinese papers to be published in its regular issue;
●cooperating with Computer Measurement and Control(listed in Chinese core journals) ，to which recommending excellent Chinese papers to be published in its regular issue;
●cooperating with China Railway, to which recommending excellent Chinese papers to be published in its regular issue.

4. Ways of Communication
●Oral Report;
●Posters and Short Report
Authors may state clearly the way of communication while submitting abstract of the paper, which will be finally decided by person in charge of the special session and parallel session.
5. Attentions for papers submitted
Domestic authors may submit their papers via https://www.fendti.com/en/Default. Registration opening for paper submission and academic reports will be scheduled in early July. Papers submitted can be in either Chinese or English. Sample paper may be found in attachment or paper submission page. Electronic manuscript should be provided in both Word version and PDF version.
●When submitting English paper, the author should state clearly the inclination that the paper be published by regular issue of Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering(included by SCI), Structural Durability and Health Monitoring(indexed by EI), regular issue of Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation (included by SCI) or IEEE Conference proceedings（included by EI）；
●When submitting Chinese paper, the author should state clearly the inclination that the paper be published by regular issue of Journal of Mechanical Engineering(Chinese version, included by EI), Nondestructive Testing or Infrared Technology(Chinese core periodical, limited to topics related to Infrared).
●Format of paper submitted should be in accordance with relevant periodical, and relevant format can be found in the attachment.
6. Conference Proceedings
●Papers submitted for IEEE conference proceedings should be written in English, and detailed requirements could be found in attachment 2 or English Website. All submitted papers will be peer reviewed, among which the accepted papers will be included in IEEE conference proceedings and be indexed by EI.
●Papers submitted not for IEEE conference proceedings should be written either in Chinese or English.
7. Reward for Excellent Papers
The authors whoever submitted papers should attend the meeting and participate in papers communication, in such case, the papers could be accepted officially by the Forum. There is a possibility that the author would win the following award:
● “Matrix Technology Excellent Chinese Paper Award” (students excluded)
The special-grade award is for one winner with RMB 8000; the first-class prize is for two winners with RMB 5000 respectively; the second-class prize is for four winners with RMB 3000 respectively; and the third -class prize is for eight winners with RMB 1000 respectively.
●“FAREAST Excellent English Paper Award” (students excluded)
Three to five winners gain RMB 5000 respectively.
●“SCLEAD Excellent Student Paper Award”
For English paper, the first-class prize is for one winner with RMB 5000; the second-class prize is for three winners with RMB 2000 respectively; the third-class prize is for six winners with RMB 1500 respectively; For Chinese paper, the first-class prize is for one winner with RMB 3000; the second-class prize is for three winners with RMB 1500 respectively; the third-class prize is for six winners with RMB 1000 respectively.
●“FENDT Excellent paper Award”
Several winners will be conferred with certificates.
8. Important Dates
●All abstracts and full texts submitted in 2022 are valid and will be confirmed with the authors before March 1, 2023
●Abstract(oral report) submission expected:April 30, 2023
●English paper Submission deadline: April 30, 2023
●Chinese paper Submission deadline: May 05, 2023
●Register and check-in :June 13, 2023
●Time for conference held:June 13-15, 2023
●Paper accepted by Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering(logging on submission system by yourself is a must）will be within four months after the conference was closed；
●Paper accepted by Sensors (logging on submission system by yourself is a must）will be within one month after the conference was closed；
●Paper accepted by Journal of Mechanical Engineering(logging on submission system by yourself is a must）will be within two months after the conference was closed；
●Paper accepted by Infrared Technology will be within one month after the conference was closed；
●Paper accepted by Computer Measurement and Control will be within one month after the conference was closed；
●Paper accepted by Non-destructive Testing will be within one month after the conference was closed；
9. Other Requirements
●The author should make sure the paper currently submitted hasn’t been officially published. Whenever the paper is accepted, the author should agree to transfer copyright to the FENDT forum and accordingly it can freely compile , copy, issue or display in network.
●The paper potentially to be recommended to Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Sensors, or Structural Durability and Health Monitoring should exceed 11 pages, and the paper potentially to be recommended to Journal of Mechanical Engineering should exceed 7 pages. Other papers with 4000-6000 words (charts included) would be preferred. Citations and references should be indicated obviously. Electronic manuscript should be input in word version with A4 paper typesetting, of which the layout can be found in attachment.
●The following content should be submitted in bilingual version: paper title, paper author(s) and author affiliation, abstract (200-500 words), key words.
●Information of the first author and corresponding author should be provided simultaneously with submitted paper , covering name, birth year, gender, professional title , specialty and email address.
