2015 IEEE 12th Far East NDT/E
Aiming at strengthening academic communication and promoting the innovation development of nondestructive testing, Far East NDT/E has become the most important event for Nondestructive Evaluation/Testing in China since its inception in Nangjing, 2004. The forum assembles all the professionals such as leading researchers, engineers, scientists, industrial people and students worldwide under one roof every year. It is a great platform for sharing experiences, innovative ideas, industrial progresses and research results in the field of NDT/E. 2015 IEEE 12th Far East NDT/E will be held in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, on 28th - 31st, May, 2015. Members of the organizing committee are as follows:
Jiangsu Province Special Equipment Safety Supervision Inspection Institute,
Beijing Institute of Technology,
Southwest Jiaotong University,
Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics。
University of Electronic Science and Technology of China
We will be in an opening-up posture and the biggest enthusiasm to welcome the people from home and abroad who are engaged in or pay attention to NDT technology and instruments to participate this Forum. Through this Forum, the participants will get various and the latest information such as nondestructive inspection and evaluation technology, equipment and facilities. The participants can develop the ideas and catch the tendency, and accelerate the theoretical research, technology development, application and innovation in NDE/T fields.
Academic and technological reports
Presentations on academic and technological reports will be held, whose contents are detailed as follows:
(1) Frontier research on domestic and overseas NDT technologies
(2) R＆D and application of new NDT technologies in China
(3) R＆D of NDT inspection devices, etc.

Far East Forum on Nondestructive Evaluation/Testing: New Technology & Application has been held 11 times since 2004, and nearly 3 annual survey:
In June of 2014, the 11th forum, “2014 Far East Forum on Nondestructive Evaluation/Testing: New Technology & Application” was held in Chengdu, China. It’s as the theme that "Non-destructive Testing ---- Increasingly perfect NDT/E ", and the Forum attracted nearly 800 scholars, technical experts and NDT professionals from China, Germany, France, Britain, America, Japan, South Korea, Poland, Brazil and other countries. The forum collected a total of more than 200 papers, and had 172 academic reports in 9 workshops. The chairman, Prof. Christian Boller, who comes from Frounhofer IZFP, Germany, made a presentation entitled “Managing Structural Integrity through Non-Destructive Evaluation”.
Through the IEEE certification, the forum is formally included in the list of the IEEE Conference. In June of 2013, The 10th FENDT was held in Jinan, China, and the subjects of the Forum are as follows: Non-destructive Testing ---- A stitch in time save nine. From China, USA, Britain, Germany, Japan and other countries and regions, more than 600 people attended the forum. There were 114 lectures and 157 papers in communication in the forum. The forum chairman, Prof. Jan D. Achenbach coming from Northwestern University, USA, made a presentation entitled “Probabilistic Considerations for Growth and Detection of Fatigue Cracks and Impact-Generated Delaminations in Aircraft Structures”.
In May of 2012, the 9th forum, “2012 Far East Forum on Nondestructive Evaluation/Testing: New Technology & Application” was held in Hefei, Anhui Province, China.
